This particular series of Park Dreams studies is concentrated on the area between Kettenbrückengasse and Landparteienplatz, where the weekly Viennese flea market takes place every Saturday. The remaining six days of the week this place is available as a car parking lot. According to a census commissioned by the district in 2015, the occupancy rate of the parking lot is about 50%, which can be interpreted to mean that only half of the Landparteienplatz is used as a parking lot. This raises numerous questions in the context of urban life and how we deal with urban space.
